Calgary is a beautiful city, in an awesome location. I first moved to Calgary around 1975, and I have seen it change a lot over the years, and continue to watch the changes. The growth has been huge, and there is no end in sight!
I especially like they people, as they make Calgary the great city that it is. They have come from all over, and each has contributed to making Calgary the great city that it is. They are the friendliest of people around, which is greatly appreciated by newcomers and visitors.
The Chinooks are a nice break in winter as well. So is not having a ton of snow in the City to have to shovel every day of the winter, and not having humid sticky weather to contend with in the summer.
Having the mountains so near can be a lot of fun too! Whatever you like to do, winter or summer, it seems like Calgary either has it, or it is close by.
Calgary can be a great place to start a business and to do business. It is a very business friendly city. It is full of people with a 'can do' attitude, who have created one success story after another.
Compared to a lot of other cites the road system is actually pretty good. The C-train / LRT is actually even better than what many other cities have in place. Lots of parks, and green space. All in all it is a nice place.
